What to grab:

  • Indian healing clay

  • Apple Cider Vinegar (or Water)

  • Non- metal bowl to mix

  • Non- metal utensil to mix

Bentonite Clay is used to attract toxin and pulls out the gunk in clogged pores. The texture of the bentonite clay is a powder until mixed with other ingredients, which I did not realize until I got it. Personally, I like using the Apple Cider Vinegar When used as a face mask, you can feel the tightening of your skin of the clay working as it dries. It really does a good job drying up and unclogging pores for a free, clear face. I use this face mask when I feel my face is really clogged or I start getting breakouts and have time to conjure up this magical mask. I recommend this mask for those with acne and clogged pores. You can use this mask 1 to 2 times a week.

Getting to it:

  • First you will grab your non-metal bowl and mix in equal parts of the clay and apple cider vinegar or water. To start off I add 1 tbsp of each.

  • Take your non-metal spoon and mix the two together until you don’t see anymore powder in your bowl.

  • Next, you may want to add however much necessary extra to get enough of a paste, you may not need to do this step, but I tend to add a little more of the liquid portion to make it a little more lighter and easier to spread.

  • Now it’s time to spread that paste all over your face, obviously avoiding your mouth, eyebrows, and eyes, as you would any other face mask.

  • For sensitive skin wash off 10- 15 minutes and normal skin 15-20 minutes. Just chill, listen to music, watch your show, surf social media, until you feel the clay tighten as it dries, to the point where it will crack if you laugh or smile.

  • Finally, you get to wash all that muddy clay off with warm water. I prefer doing this over the kitchen sink since it can get a little messy and I also usually have a face towel near by to get those tough spots off. I usually dry off my face and apply my Witch Hazel toner just to close the pores I just cleared out. Your face will probably be a little red afterwards which is completely normal, wait 30 minutes and the red will be reduced.
