Beginners Guide to Going to the Gym
Guide to going to the gym:
I recently found an undying love for the gym this past year as a stress reliever and a way to better myself. But, I use to be very intimidated by the gym, as many are when they’re not sure what workouts to do, how to use the equipment, and what routines to follow. I want to help those who get flustered when going to the gym so you can go by yourself! Once you get into the groove of things you won’t care about anyone else working out around you and you’ll be able to go in, get your business done, and have a new fantastic stress free and healthy way to get your body right.

Make a schedule for yourself. Make a plan to stick to the days and times you will go to the gym. If you'd do this you're more inclined to go rather than just going when you feel like it. Personally, I go about 5 times a week, but it’s because I have more time. Even if you start off with going two days at least you're starting somewhere! I suggest trying to go 4 times a week if times allows you to.
Have a plan going into the gym. If you are completely new to the gym and working out start with the basics; cardio, arms, abs, and legs. Doing a little bit of everything will help your body get used to it. It will help you get comfortable with the equipment first and ease you into what you want to focus on. Once you are comfortable, have a set sequence of what machines or weights you'll be using for arm day, leg day, etc.
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate. Bringing a lot of water is very important. You have to remember that you are sweating and therefore need to replenish your body’s water supply. I go through about 2 water bottles per gym day. It is important to hydrate yourself before, during, and after your workout, especially if you don’t want cramps.
If you stick to a simple routine and once you get into it, hopefully, you'll enjoy the gym as much as I do. It's a great stress reliever as well as something to put your stress, anger, or any other emotion into.
