Packing a Backpack for a Weekend Trip
Updated: 4 days ago
If you’re like me, you don’t mind living on a budget to save some money. I took a trip to London from Ireland in January and flew Ryanair. Although Ryanair's flights are relatively cheap, they do not allow a carry on, at least for free, only a personal item (i.e purse, backpack, etc.) So my roommate had the brilliant idea of backpacking for our weekend in London. Here’s some tips and tricks to pack for a weekend in a backpack.
Tips:
Pack lighter clothes.
Pack up your essentials.
Pack more versatile clothes.
Plan out every outfit.
Roll up your clothes to pack
Wear your heaviest clothes (I wore a sweatshirt and leather jacket on the flight to save room in my bag.)
Wear leggings or light joggers you can wear on the flight there and back
Wear hat scarf, and gloves if you need to. (I did on the plane since I was going to London in January)
Be aware of liquid count ( usually 3 oz bottle of whatever liquid, gel, or paste you have) and Airport Rules- (The Stansted Airport from London has a rule that all your liquids must fit in a 20cm x 20cm clear bag that they provide, I lost my foundation because I was not aware of this. So I suggest you do a little research.)
I went from Late Thursday night until early Sunday morning so I packed 2 day outfits, a set of PJs, going out clothes, and two pairs of shoes. Of course, this is exactly what I packed as I planned for my own weekend, but hopefully it can give you an idea of what to pack for your own trip.
